 Thessaloniki, Greece

LOCATION:Thessaloniki, Greece
DESCRIPTION:The Panhellenic Logic Symposium (PLS),
a biennial scientific event established in 1997,
aims to promote interaction and cross-fertilizatio
n among different areas of logic. Originally conce
ived as a way of bringing together the many logici
ans of Hellenic descent throughout the world, it h
as evolved into an international forum for the com
munication of state-of-the-art advances in logic.
The symposium is open to researchers worldwide who
work in logic broadly conceived. The Scientific
Committee invites all researchers in the areas of
the conference to submit their papers for presenta
tion at PLS14. Areas of interest include (but are
not limited to) Computability theory, Model theory
, Set theory, Proof theory, Categorical logic, Phi
losophical logic, Nonclassical and modal logics, a
nd Logic in Computer Science. Accepted papers will
appear in an informal, electronic proceedings vol
ume, which will be posted on the event's webpage.
During the actual event, each accepted paper shoul
d be presented by at least one of its authors. Gr
aduate students and early-career researchers are i
nvited to submit a short, 1-page abstract on preli
minary work that may not be ready for a full talk
yet. Those accepted will be able to present their
work in poster form in a special poster session. T
he session will also feature a mentoring component
in which senior researchers will discuss the post
ers and provide feedback to the authors.
