DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20241009
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20241011
LOCATION:Lund, Sweden
DESCRIPTION:The MoH conferences are organized by t
he Society for the History of the Humanities and b
ring together scholars and historians interested i
n the history of a wide variety of fields, includi
ng archaeology, art history, historiography, lingu
istics, literary studies, media studies, musicolog
y, and philology, tracing these fields from their
earliest developments to the modern day. This yea
r’s special conference theme is "Shifting Cultures
of Knowledge in the History of the Humanities". I
n 2024, we encourage papers that address the histo
ry of the humanities in relation to broader, multi
disciplinary studies on knowledge and scholarship.
We welcome panels and papers on any period or r
egion. We are especially interested in work that t
ranscends the history of specific humanities disci
plines by comparing scholarly practices across dis
ciplines and civilisations. Abstracts of single pa
pers (30 minutes including discussion) should cont
ain the name of the speaker, full contact address
(including email address), the title and a summary
of the paper of maximally 250 words.  Although we
invite submissions that explore this year's speci
al conference theme, we remain fully open to abstr
acts addressing other subjects as well.
