Connexive logics are orthogonal to classical logic insofar as they validate certain non-theorems of classical logic involving mainly negation and implication. Modern connexive logic started in the 1960s with s eminal papers by Richard B. Angell and Storrs McCa ll. Since then, systems of connexive logic have be en motivated by considerations on a content connec tion between the antecedent and consequent of vali d implications, as well as by applications that ra nge from Aristotle's syllogistic to Categorial Gra mmar and the study of causal implications.
\nAs interests in topics related to connexive log ics are growing, the ninth workshop aims at discus sing directions for future research in connexive l ogics. Keynote speakers: Mateusz Klonowski (NCU, T oruń), Jacek Malinowski (IFiS PAN, Warsaw), Satoru Niki (RUB, Bochum), Grigory Olkhovikov (RUB, Boch um) and Francesco Paoli (UC, Cagliari). This year, the WCL follows the NCL conference: we encourage you to participat e in both events.
\nAny paper s related to connexive logics are welcome. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the f ollowing: - Philosophical and historical considera tions of the notion of connexivity; - Examinations of various systems of connexive logics; - Relatio ns between connexive logics and other non-classica l logics, such as relevance logics, conditional lo gics or modal logics; - Empirical studies on the s cope of connexivity.
