DESCRIPTION:The "Roots and New Trends in Logicism"
  workshop brings together state of the art researc
 h on historical accounts and contemporary contribu
 tions to Logicism. The workshop aims to foster dis
 cussion on the interplay between mathematics, logi
 c, metaphysics and epistemology, and stimulate fut
 ure work on the field.  The programme consists of 
 6 talks by invited speakers and a 4-6 contributed 
 talks. Confirmed invited speakers: Ludovica Conti 
 (IUSS Pavia), Fernando Ferreira (University of Lis
 bon), Salvatore Florio (University of Oslo), Sébas
 tien Gandon (Clermont Auvergne University), Gregor
 y Landini (University of Iowa) , Hannes Leitgeb (L
 MU Munich - MCMP).  We welcome abstracts for the c
 ontributed talks on any topic related to (neo)Logi
 cism, both from a historical and a philosophical p
 erspective. Submissions by undergraduate students 
 and young scholars are encouraged.  Contributed ta
 lks are expected to be 60 minutes-long (plus 30 mi
 nutes-long discussion).
