SUMMARY:The 18th European Conference on Symbolic a
nd Quantitative Approaches to Reasoning with Unce
 rtainty (ECSQARU'25), Hagen, Germany
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20250923
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20250926
LOCATION:Hagen, Germany
DESCRIPTION:The biennial ECSQARU conferences const
itute a major forum for advances in the theory and
practice of reasoning under uncertainty, with a f
ocus on bringing symbolic and quantitative aspects
together. Contributions come from researchers int
erested in advancing the scientific knowledge and
from practitioners using uncertainty techniques in
real-world applications. The scope of the ECSQARU
  conferences encompasses fundamental issues, repre
sentation, inference, learning, and decision makin
g in qualitative and numeric uncertainty paradigms
. The following keynote speakers are already conf
irmed: Claudia d'Amato (University of Bari, Italy)
, Vanina Martinez (Artificial Intelligence Researc
h Institute, Spain) and Tommie Meyer (CAIR, Univer
sity of Cape Town, Source Africa). The first day (
Sep 23) is dedicated to a workshop and tutorial pr
ogramme. A separate call for workshops and tutoria
ls has already been disseminated (see the website
for details). A Best Paper Award supported by Spri
nger will be granted at the conference. ECSQARU 2
025 will welcome papers on the theory and practice
of reasoning under uncertainty.. Submitted papers
must be original and not under review in a journa
l or another venue with formally published proceed
ings. They will be evaluated by peer reviews based
  on originality, significance, technical soundness
, and clarity of exposition. The reviewing process
is single blind. Authors of accepted papers are e
xpected to attend the conference to present their
work, at least one author of each paper must regis
ter for the conference. Submitted papers must be a
t most 12 pages (excluding references) in the Spri
 nger LNCS/LNAI format.
