SUMMARY:British Colloquium for Theoretical Compute
r Science (BCTCS 2025), Glasgow, Scotland
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20250414
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20250416
LOCATION:Glasgow, Scotland
DESCRIPTION:The BCTCS is an annual event for UK-ba
sed researchers in Theoretical Computer Science to
present their research and discuss future directi
ons. The meeting aims to provide an environment in
which PhD students can gain experience in present
ing their work, to broaden their outlook on the su
bject, and to benefit from contact with establishe
d researchers. The scope of the colloquium include
s all aspects of Theoretical Computer Science, inc
luding Algorithms, Automata Theory, Complexity The
ory, Concurrency, Education, Formal Methods, Langu
ages, Logics, Semantics, and Types. We will have
the following invited speakers: Elizabeth Polgreen
(Edinburgh), Nicolai Kraus (Nottingham), Jess Enr
ight (Glasgow), Jakub Oprðal (Birmingham), Conor M
cBride (Strathclyde) and  Rob van Glabeek (Edinbur
gh). We invite 30 minute contributed talks on any
topic in the scope of the colloquium. Presentatio
ns from research students and early career researc
hers are particularly encouraged. The scope of "th
eoretical computer science" is intended to be inte
rpreted broadly. In particular, this year we invit
e talk proposals which detail novel and innovative
ways to teach theoretical content, as part of a t
rack focused on theoretical computer science educa
tion. For all talks, please ensure that your talk
is accessible to other students who may not be spe
cialists in your research topic. We put no restric
tions on the originality or publication status of
 submissions.
