SUMMARY:Cambridge Graduate Conference on the Philo
sophy of Mathematics and Logic, St John's College,
  Cambridge [UK]
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20270123
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20270124
LOCATION:St John's College, Cambridge [UK]
DESCRIPTION:Logic and the philosophy of mathematic
s are central and foundational sub-disciplines in
philosophy. However, graduate students working in
these areas often struggle to find access to forum
s in which they can discuss their work with peers.
The aim of this conference is to provide graduate
students working in these and related areas with
such a forum. Additionally, the conference has be
en co-founded by the ILLC's own Luca Incurvati! T
his is an unrivalled opportunity for graduate stud
ents interested in logic, philosophy of mathematic
s, and other formal areas of philosophy to present
their work. A representative, but nonexclusive, l
ist of subdisciplines would be: philosophy of math
ematics, logic and philosophy of logic, applicatio
ns of logic to epistemology and metaphysics, forma
l epistemology, decision theory, and applications
of formal methods to the philosophy of science.
Papers should be no longer than 4000 words (includ
ing footnotes and appendices, excluding references
) and suitable for a 40 minute presentation. They
should also be accompanied by an abstract of no mo
re than 150 words. The submission deadline is adju
 sted for the UK time.
