DESCRIPTION:On the one hand, computer science is n
 ow aiming at the development of more and more comp
 lex and autonomous computer systems which call for
  forms of meta-systems with regulating and control
 ling functions. On the other hand, philosophical d
 isciplines are now trying to systematically addres
 s key notions in the understanding of social agenc
 y, e.g., "norm", "intention", "obligation".   Aim 
 of the symposium is to bring together leading rese
 archers from computer-science and philosophy in or
 der to exchange points of view and stimulate scien
 tific cooperation on the issue of normative system
 s. Speakers include Johan van Benthem, Christiano 
 Castelfranchi Davide Grossi John Horty and Marek S
