This is the fourth in a series of conferences organised by\n CiE (Computability in Europe), a Europe an network of\n mathematicians, logicians, co mputer scientists, philosophers,\n physicists and others interested in new developments in\n computability and their underlying significance for the real\n world. Previous meetings took place in Amsterdam (2005),\n Swansea (2006) and Siena (2007).\n

\nCiE 2008 a ims at bridging the gap from the logical methods o f\n mathematical and meta-mathematical flavou r to the applied and\n industrial questions t hat are involved in devising and choosing\n t he right algorithms and analysing their effectiven ess and\n efficiency.\n
