LOCATION:Paris, France
DESCRIPTION:Mathematical Aspects of Computer and I
nformation Sciences (MACIS) is a new series of con
ferences where foundational research on theoretica
l and practical problems of mathematics for comput
ing and information processing may be presented an
d discussed. MACIS also addresses experimental and
case studies, scientific and engineering computat
ion, design and implementation of algorithms and s
oftware systems, and applications of mathematical
methods and tools to outstanding and emerging prob
lems in applied computer and information sciences.
Each conference focuses on two or three themes
. The themes for MACIS 2007 are: Computational Geo
metry and Computer Aided Geometric Design, Polynom
ial System Solving and Algorithms and Complexity
  For more information, see http://www-spiral.lip6.
fr/MACIS2007/ Potential participants of MACIS 200
7 are invited to submit extended abstracts (3-4 pa
ges) or full papers describing their work to be pr
esented at the conference. Deadline for extended a
 bstract submission: November 1, 2007
