CiE 2 009 is the fifth in a series of conferences organi sed by CiE\n (Computability in Europe), a E uropean association of mathematicians,\n lo gicians, computer scientists, philosophers, physic ists and others\n interested in new develop ments in computability and their underlying\n significance for the real world. Previous meeti ngs took place in\n Amsterdam (2005), Swans ea (2006), Siena (2007) and Athens (2008).\n

\nCiE 2009 has a broad scope and brid ges the gap from the theoretical\n methods of mathematical and meta-mathematical flavour to t he applied and\n industrial questions of co mputational practice. The conference aims to\n bring together researchers who want to explore the historical and\n philosophical aspects of the field.\n
