The c onference, part of the annual conference series\n "LANGUAGE, UNDERSTANDING, INTERPRETATION ", is held in\n memory of Imre Ruzsa (19 21-2008), the father of modern\n philosophica l logic in Hungary. His professional interests\n centered around modal logic, intensional logic , modeling natural\n language in systems of i ntensional logic, and the foundations of\n lo gic and mathematics. He always thought of his gene ralization\n of A. N. Prior's concept of sema ntic value gaps to quantified,\n intensional and type-theoretic systems as his most important\n contribution to logic.\n
