 nitiate an investigation into how current research
  on computer games touches upon philosophical issu
 es. In line with this purpose, the conference is i
 nterdisciplinary, drawing together researchers fro
 m diverse fields such as: philosophy, computer gam
 e-theory, semiotics, aesthetics, sociology, psycho
 logy, and anthropology.  For more information, see

 issions focusing on, but not limited to, the follo
 wing three headings: "Fictionality and Interaction
 ", "Defining Computer Games" and "Ethical and Poli
 tical Issues". Accepted papers will have a clear f
 ocus on philosophy and philosophical issues in rel
 ation to computer games. They will also attempt to
  use specific examples rather than merely invoke "
 computer games" in general terms. Deadline for sub
 missions is June 1, 2009.
