DESCRIPTION:Starting from 1960 the International C
 ongress of Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Sc
 ience has been held every four years in capital ci
 ties and/or by famous university centers. The cong
 ress is meant to reflect the current state of the 
 art in Logic and Philosophy of Science and also to
  draw upon and present new perspectives.    A nove
 lty of the Nancy Congress is that it has adopted a
  topic of special focus: "Logic and science facing
  new technologies". This presents the opportunity 
 for casting a strong light on an issue of major im
 portance today, namely: the integration of contemp
 orary technologies in sciences and in society. Que
 stions surrounding this issue are likely to intere
 st the scientific community, as well as a variety 
 of social actors and various partners involved in
