SUMMARY:Computability in Europe (CiE 2010), Ponta
 Delgada, Azores, Portugal
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20100630
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20100705
LOCATION:Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal
DESCRIPTION:Computability in Europe provides the l
argest international conference dealing with the f
ull spectrum of computability-related research. Ci
E serves as an interdisciplinary forum for researc
h in all aspects of computability and foundations
of computer science, as well as the interplay of t
hese theoretical areas with practical issues in co
mputer science and with other disciplines such as
biology, mathematics, philosophy, or physics. Ci
E 2010 in the Azores is the sixth conference of th
e Series, held in a geographically unique and dram
atic location, Europe's most Westerly outpost. The
theme of CiE 2010 - "Programs, Proofs, Processes"
  - points to the usual CiE synergy of Computer Sci
ence, Mathematics and Logic, with important comput
ability-theoretic connections to science and the r
eal universe. The conference will address not only
the more established lines of research of Computa
tional Complexity and the interplay between Proofs
and Computation, but also novel views that rely o
n physical and biological processes and models to
find new ways of tackling computations and improvi
ng their efficiency. For more information, see h
 ttp://www.cie2010.uac.pt/ The Programme Committee
cordially invites all researchers in the area of
the conference to submit their papers (in PDF-form
at, at most 10 pages) for presentation at CiE 2010
. The committee particularly invites papers that b
uild bridges between different parts of the resear
ch community. Submission date of papers: January 2
 0, 2010.
