DESCRIPTION:The square of opposition is a very fam
 ous theme related to Aristotelian logic dealing wi
 th the notions of opposition, negation, quantifica
 tion and proposition. This will be the second worl
 d congress organized about the square of oppositio
 n after a very succesful first edition organized i
 n Montreux , Switzerland in 2007.    The square wi
 ll be considered in its various aspects. There wil
 l be talks by the best specialists of the square a
 nd this will be an interdisciplinary event gatheri
 ng people from various fields : logic, philosophy,
  mathematics, psychology, linguistics, anthropolog
 y, semiotics. Visual and artistic representations 
 of the square will also be presented. There will b
 e a music show and a movie illustrating the square
 . Invited speakers include Alain Badiou, Pierre Ca
 rtier, Jaakko Hintikka, Saul Kripke, Stephen Read.
