Thi s is a conference on Model Theory from a philosoph ical\n perspective. The conference is suppo rted by the Institute of\n Philosophical Re search (EA 373) and the “Knowledge,\n Language and Modelling” Graduate School (ED 139) of the\n University Paris Ouest Nante rre, and by the Institute of\n History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (IHPST). It\n will be held in Paris from June 2 to June 5, 2010 at the\n University Paris Ouest and at the Ecole Normale\n Supérieure. Conference organizers are Denis Bonnay,\n B rice Halimi and Jean-Michel Salanskis.

\nWe welcome an y submission in the following areas, broadly\n construed: 1) history of model theory, 2) cont emporary\n developments of model theory, 3) philosophical issues related\n to model th eory, 4) applications of model theory outside of\n mathematics. Given that the conference's m ain perspective is\n philosophical, submiss ions in area 2) should be targeted so as\n to be of interest to a general audience.
