In this context, week-long meeti ngs are organized which bring together students fr om all three locations as well as interested gradu ate students from other universities. Each meeting focuses on one main topic, which is covered in ex tended tutorials by invited speakers. Additionally , students are invited to present and discuss thei r own work. The graduate school is kindly sponsore d by the DAAD within the Bi-national Graduate Prog ram. This year's Tilburg week is focused on "Cal culation, Intuition, and A Priori Knowledge", and is embedded in the series of biannual René Descart es Lectures, which will this year be delivered by Professor Ian Hacking (Toronto/Paris). There will also be two mini-tutorials, held by James Conant ( Chicago) and Martin Kusch (Vienna), on aspects of Professor Hacking's work. This year's Lausanne w eek focuses on reductionism in philosophy of mind and neuroscience. The main lecturer is John Bickle . Further invited speakers are Mauro Dorato, Micha el Heidelberger, Max Kistler, Albert Newen, Michae l Pauen, and Joëlle Proust.
