SUMMARY:3rd Workshop on the Philosophy of Informat
 ion, Brussels, Belgium
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20101118
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20101119
LOCATION:Brussels, Belgium
DESCRIPTION:An ambitious project like the philosop
hy of information cannot operate in isolation. Not
only does it have to rely on input from the scien
ces of information and computation, it also needs
to convince those who are sympathetic to the proje
ct (including those who had been philosophers of i
nformation without realising it) to contribute act
ively, and encourage the sceptics to challenge the
basic assumptions of the philosophy of informatio
 n. The series of workshops in the philosophy of in
formation provide a platform for this kind of inte
raction. For the third workshop on the philosoph
y of information, we bring together researchers wh
o have been working in the philosophy of informati
on, with researchers working in related areas. A
dmission is free, but registration is required. Pl
ease send an email to patrick.allo at vub.ac.be wi
th your name and affiliation. For more information
 , see http://www.vub.ac.be/CLWF/3WPI/
