DESCRIPTION:From 6-10 June the fourth European Wom
 en in Mathematics summer school will take place at
  the Lorentz Center in Leiden. As Logic is one of 
 the central themes of this summer school this may 
 be of interest to you. This summer school is espec
 ially aimed at encouraging female students and res
 earchers at the beginning of their career, but als
 o male students are very welcome to participate.  
 During the summer school the participants will be 
 actively involved. Besides the lectures, there wil
 l be problem solving sessions on Logic and Geometr
 y and a mini workshop on History in Mathematics. F
 urthermore, the participants will be asked to pres
 ent their own work, so as to get to know each othe
 r and to practice presentation skills. Finally, po
 ssible barriers in an academic career and cultural
  differences will be discussed, both in particular
  in relation to gender issues. This set-up fosters
  an interactive and collaborative atmosphere and t
 herefore all participants are encouraged to stay f
