DESCRIPTION:The conference is conceived as a conti
 nuation of the previous meetings on the relation b
 etween Music and the Neurosciences. These conferen
 ces have been highly successful and have generated
  enormous excitement, both among established and n
 ew researchers. By providing the opportunity to pr
 esent new results and exchange information, the me
 etings have contributed substantially to the growt
 h of new research and collaborations in the neuros
 cience of music and to its visibility within the b
 roader scientific community.   The central theme o
 f Music and Neurosciences IV will be Learning and 
 Memory. The conference programme will also be divi
 ded into 4 subthemes: "Infants and Children", "Adu
 lts: musicians and non musicians", "Disabilities a
 nd aging-related issues" and "Therapy and Rehabili
 tation". The conference will include Keynote Lectu
 res, Symposia, Poster Sessions and a Workshop on c
 hild-oriented research design and new data acquisi
 tion and analysis techniques. The conference will 
 be of interest not only to neuroscientists, psycho
 logists and students but also to clinical neurolog
 ists, clinical psychologists, therapists, music pe
 rformers and educators as well as musicologists.
