SUMMARY:4th International Conference on Algebra an
d Coalgebra in Computer Science (CALCO 2011), Winc
 hester, U.K.
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20110829
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20110902
LOCATION:Winchester, U.K.
DESCRIPTION:CALCO aims to bring together researche
rs and practitioners with interests in foundationa
l aspects, and both traditional and emerging uses
of algebras and coalgebras in computer science.
 This is a high-level, bi-annual conference formed
by joining the forces and reputations of CMCS (the
International Workshop on Coalgebraic Methods in
Computer Science), and WADT (the Workshop on Algeb
raic Development Techniques). Previous CALCO editi
ons took place in Swansea (Wales, 2005), Bergen (N
orway, 2007) and Udine (Italy, 2009). The fourth e
dition will be held in the city of Winchester (UK)
, a historic cathedral city and the ancient capita
l of Wessex and the Kingdom of England. CALCO 20
11 will be preceded by the CALCO Young Researchers
Workshop, CALCO-Jnr, dedicated to presentations b
y PhD students and by those who completed their do
ctoral studies within the past few years. The prog
ramme of CALCO will also comprise presentations of
tools based on algebraic and/or coalgebraic princ
iples, that have been selected in the context of a
dedicated workshop, CALCO-Tools. For more infor
 mation, see http://calco2011.ecs.soton.ac.uk/ or c
