SUMMARY:Non-classical modal and predicate logics,
 Guangzhou, China
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20111205
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20111209
LOCATION:Guangzhou, China
DESCRIPTION:Modalities and predicates have since a
ncient time been central notions of logic. In the
20th century, various systems of non-classical log
ics have emerged, with applications in many discip
lines like Computer Science, Linguistics, Mathemat
ics, and Philosophy. This gave rise to the questio
ns of non-classical treatment of quantification an
d modalities and their accommodation in these non-
classical logics. In response, various modal and p
redicate variants of non-classical logics have bee
n introduced and studied in the past decades. Al
though there are many good conferences on (mainly
 propositional) non-classical logics, this conferen
ce is one solely dedictated to modal and predicate
non-classical logics. The aim of the conference i
s to bring together researchers from various branc
hes of non-classical logics, not only to present r
ecent advances in their particular fields, but als
o to identify common problems and methods and fost
er the exchange of ideas between researchers from
separate fields. For more information, see http:
 //logic.sysu.edu.cn/ncmpl2011 or contact ncmpl2011
at easychair.org The Programme Committee cordia
lly invites all researchers to submit their papers
for presentation. Submission deadline is 1 Septem
 ber 2011
