DESCRIPTION:The overall objective of this workshop
  is to study some of the open questions within phi
 losophy of information.    Interest in the philoso
 phy and meaning of information goes back half a ce
 ntury but has rapidly increased recently with many
  new directions of research into the meaning, quan
 tification and measures of information and complex
 ity as well as a vast range of applications across
  the scientific spectrum. In this workshop we will
  focus on the different techniques to measure info
 rmation and to identify meaningful information.
