 , Denmark
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20120820
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20120821
LOCATION:Roskilde, Denmark
DESCRIPTION:After a gap of fifteen years, the Scan
dinavian Logic Symposium is back. The Symposium is
the first major initiative of the newly revived S
candinavian Logic Society and will be held at Rosk
ilde University (RUC), Denmark. As with previous e
ditions of this conference, the aim of the program
me is to reflect current activity in logic in our
part of the world. The scope of SLS 2012 is broad,
ranging over the whole area of mathematical and p
hilosophical logic, and logical methods in compute
 r science. Related events: A post-SLS tutorial
day will be organized on August 22 . Also note tha
t Advances in Modal Logic (AiML) will be held on 2
2-25 August 2012, Copenhagen, Denmark. The conf
erence website will be found at: http://scandinavi
anlogic.weebly.com/ We hope that participants fr
om Scandinavia, the Baltic countries and Northwest
ern Russia will take the opportunity to contribute
a talk and to meet with fellow logicians from the
area. But needless to say, we also extend a warm
welcome to logicians from further afield. Abstract
s of talks should be submitted by May 1, 2012.
