DESCRIPTION:The fifth edition of PhDs in Logic wil
 l take place at the Munich Center for Mathematical
  Philosophy. PhDs in Logic is a graduate conferenc
 e organized by local graduate students. Its aim is
  to bring together graduate students and researche
 rs as well as to foster contact between graduate s
 tudents. Earlier editions of the event took place 
 in Ghent (2009, 2012), Tilburg (2010), and Brussel
 s (2011).   Following the previous meetings, the a
 cademic pattern is formed by two main parts:  - tu
 torials given by researchers in logic  - 20 to 25 
 min presentations by graduate students on topics p
 ertaining to their research  Besides that there wi
 ll be opportunities for informal gatherings includ
 ing a conference dinner   For more information, vi

 talk should send a 500-1000 word abstract to phdsi
 nlogic at gmail.com by January 15th, 2013. We welc
 ome PhD students in logic with a background in phi
 losophy, computer science, mathematics or linguist
 ics. Exceptions can be made for master students an
 d first-year postdocs.
