DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20130705
LOCATION:London, U.K.
DESCRIPTION:In odd-numbered years, the European Co
ordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence s
ponsors a specialised course in Artificial Intelli
gence, called Advanced Course on AI (ACAI). The AC
AI Summer School 2013 (ACAI 2013) will be held at
King's College London, UK, from the 1st July to th
e 5th July 2013 and is on the topic of Argumentati
on in Artificial Intelligence. Computational mod
els of argument, and the development of agreement
technologies, is becoming an important area in art
ificial intelligence. The aim of the summer school
is to provide the attendees with a solid groundin
g in the basic ideas in formal modelling of argume
ntation, dialogue, and negotiation. Furthermore, t
here will be a programme of lectures on applicatio
n areas, lab sessions on software developments, an
d lectures linking with areas in AI and beyond.
ACAI 2013 will be co-located and run in parallel w
ith the European Agent Systems Summer School 2013,
giving students the opportunity to interact with
a wide variety of peers. More information, inclu
ding a preliminary programme, is available on the
