SUMMARY:1st International Workshop on Engineering
Multi-Agent Systems (EMAS 2013), Saint Paul MN, U.
 S.A.
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20130506
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20130507
LOCATION:Saint Paul MN, U.S.A.
DESCRIPTION:EMAS is the result of the merging of t
hree "parent" workshops: AOSE, DALT and ProMAS. It
aims to look at the the design, implementation an
d deployment of multi-agent systems by bringing to
gether the currently separate topics (but overlapp
ing communities) that focus on software engineerin
g aspects (AOSE), programming aspects (ProMAS), an
d the application of declarative techniques to des
ign, programming and verification (DALT). For mo
 re information, see http://emas2013.otago.ac.nz W
e call for research papers that are concerned with
any aspect of the engineering of multi-agent syst
ems. Specifically including any topics that would
fall within the scope of one or more of the three
parent workshops: a) Agent-Oriented Software Engi
neering, b) Declarative Agent Languages and Techn
ologies, c) Programming Multi-Agent Systems. We
also seek application papers that describe develop
ed applications. Such papers should not just descr
ibe an application, but also the lessons learned a
nd the engineering challenges identified in buildi
ng and deploying the applications. Paper submissio
 n deadline: 30th January 2013.
