SUMMARY:2nd WFAP Graduate Conference "How Am I Sup
 posed to Know", Vienna, Austria
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20130502
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20130504
LOCATION:Vienna, Austria
DESCRIPTION:The second Graduate Conference of the
Vienna Forum for Analytic Philosophy, a student so
ciety for philosophical research in the analytic t
radition at the Department of Philosophy of the Un
iversity of Vienna, will be held from 2 - 4 May 20
13 on the topic of knowledge. Contemporary debat
es on knowledge tend to revolve around the acquisi
tion of knowledge, the conference will therefore f
ocus on the sources of knowledge. Possible candida
tes for such sources of knowledge seem to be perce
ption, memory, logical reasoning, testimony, or in
tuitions. But there is no agreement on which of th
ese are sources of knowledge in their own right, a
nd which can be reduced to others; in which episte
mological processes they are involved; or what sor
t of justification they each require or yield. F
 or further information, see http://wfap.philo.at/?
q=node/103. In order to tackle these questions w
e invite high-quality papers from graduate student
 s. Deadline for submission of abstracts: February
 28, 2013
