 d practitioners. The topic of this year's summer s
 chool is "Semantic Web - Ontology Languages and Th
 eir Use"   The summer school is devoted to the Sem
 antic Web, a very dynamic and current area of rese
 arch and application which aims at making informat
 ion on the World Wide Web fit for intelligent syst
 ems applications. One of the key ideas of the Sema
 ntic Web approach is to make use of methods from k
 nowledge representation and of AI research in gene
 ral in order to obtain seamless integration of inf
 ormation from diverse resources, interoperability 
 of tools, enhance search functionalities, and the 
 like. The ICCL Summer School 2013 will introduce t
 o Semantic Web Ontology Languages and some of thei
 r application areas, and highlight related researc
