DESCRIPTION:The MATES conference series aims at th

  in agent-based computing with prototyped or field
 ed systems in various application domains.   In 20
 13 the MATES conference is accompanied by the four
 th installment of the Joint Agent Workshops in Syn
 ergy (JAWS 2013), a series of international worksh
 ops on different issues of agent technology. This 
 European joint event on agent technologies (MATES+
 JAWS) is co-located with the German Conference on 
 Artificial Intelligence(KI 2013) and the 43th Symp
 osium of the German Computer Science Association G
