SUMMARY:Theory and Applications of Formal Argument
 ation (TAFA-13), Beijing, China
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20130803
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20130805
LOCATION:Beijing, China
DESCRIPTION:The Second International Workshop on T
heory and Applications of Formal Argumentation (TA
FA 2013) will be co-located with IJCAI 2013 in Bei
jing, and builds on the success of TAFA 2011 (co-l
ocated with IJCAI 2011). The workshop is inspired
by the recent rapid growth of interest in formal m
odels of argumentation and their application in di
verse sub-fields and domains of application of Art
ificial Intelligence. TAFA 2013 aims to further fo
ster uptake of argumentation as a viable AI paradi
gm with wide ranging application by providing a fo
rum for further development of existing ideas and
for the initiation of new and innovative collabora
tions. For more information, see http://homepage
 s.abdn.ac.uk/n.oren/pages/TAFA-13/ TAFA 2013 ther
efore encourages submission of papers on formal th
eoretical models of argumentation and their applic
ation in (sub-fields of) AI, and on the evaluation
of models of argumentation, both theoretical (in
terms of formal properties) and practical (in conc
retely developed applications). We particularly en
courage work on theories and applications develope
 d through inter-disciplinary collaborations. The w
orkshop will also include a demonstration session.
  Submission Deadline: April 20, 2013.
