SUMMARY:CiE 2014: Computability in Europe, Budapes
 t, Hungary
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20140623
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20140627
LOCATION:Budapest, Hungary
DESCRIPTION:CiE 2014 is the tenth conference organ
ized by CiE (Computability in Europe), a European
 association of mathematicians, logicians, computer
scientists, philosophers, physicists and others i
nterested in new developments in computability and
their underlying significance for the real world.
The motto of CiE 2014 "Language, Life, Limits"
intends to put a special focus on relations betwee
n computational linguistics, natural computing, an
d more traditional fields of computability theory.
This is to be understood in its broadest sense in
cluding computational aspects of problems in lingu
istics, studying models of computation and algorit
hms inspired by physical and biological approaches
as well as exhibiting limits (and non-limits) of
computability when considering different models of
computation arising from such approaches. For m
 ore information, see http://cie2014.inf.elte.hu
Unlike the traditional format of computer science
 conferences with pre-conference proceedings, mathe
matics conferences allow for informal presentation
s that are prepared very shortly before the confer
ence and inform the participants about current res
earch and work in progress. Continuing the traditi
on of past CiE conferences, also this year's CiE c
onference endeavours to get the best of both world
 s. In addition to the formal presentations based o
n our LNCS proceedings volume, we invite researche
rs to present informal presentations. For this, pl
ease send us a brief description of your talk (bet
ween one paragraph and one page) by the deadline o
 f April 14, 2014.
