CiE 2 014 is the tenth conference organized by CiE (Comp utability\n in Europe), a European associat ion of mathematicians, logicians,\n compute r scientists, philosophers, physicists and others\ n interested in new developments in computa bility and their\n underlying significance for the real world.\n

\nThe mott o of CiE 2014 "Language, Life, Limits"\n intends to put a special focus on relations between\n computational linguistics, natural computing, and more\n traditional fields of c omputability theory. This is to be\n understo od in its broadest sense including computational a spects\n of problems in linguistics, studying models of computation and\n algorithms inspi red by physical and biological approaches as\n well as exhibiting limits (and non-limits) of co mputability when\n considering different mode ls of computation arising from such\n approac hes.\n

\n Unlike the traditional format of comput er science conferences\n with pre-conferenc e proceedings, mathematics conferences allow\n for informal presentations that are prepared v ery shortly\n before the conference and inf orm the participants about\n current resear ch and work in progress. Continuing the\n t radition of past CiE conferences, also this year's CiE\n conference endeavours to get the bes t of both worlds. In\n addition to the form al presentations based on our LNCS\n procee dings volume, we invite researchers to present inf ormal\n presentations. For this, please sen d us a brief description of\n your talk (be tween one paragraph and one page) by the deadline\ n of April 14, 2014.\n
