SUMMARY:Workshop "Descriptive Inner Model Theory",
  Palo Alto CA, U.S.A.
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20140602
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20140606
LOCATION:Palo Alto CA, U.S.A.
DESCRIPTION:The AIM at Palo Alto will host a works
hop on descriptive inner model theory, June 02-06,
2014, organized by R. Schindler (Münster) and J.
Steel (Berkeley). How to construct canonical in
ner models satisfying large cardinal hypotheses ha
s been a central problem in pure set theory since
the 1960s. In recent years, there has been encoura
ging progress on two broad fronts: the constructio
n of iteration strategies, and inner models with l
ong extenders. This workshop is devoted to communi
cating and developing further the new ideas. If
you would like to participate, then you may fill
out the online form provided by AIM. Participants
will be invited to suggest open problems and quest
ions before the workshop begins, and these will be
posted on the workshop website. The deadline to a
pply is Feb 02, 2014. For more information see htt
