LCC 2 014/ImmermanFest\n will be held in Vienna, Austria, on July 12-13, 2014, as an\n affil iated meeting of the Vienna Summer of Logic.\n The program will consist of a first day\n (July 12th) of talks which include both invited lectures and\n contributed talks selected by the program committee (based on\n submit ted abstracts), and a second day (July 13th) devot ed entirely\n to invited talks in celebrati on of Neil Immerman's 60th birthday.\n

\nLCC meetings are aimed at the foundationa l interconnections\n between logic and comput ational complexity, to which Neil\n Immerman has made numerous fundamental and inspiring\n contributions. In particular, he has been one of the leading\n figures in the development of descriptive complexity, which has\n elucidate d intimate and beautiful connections between compl exity\n theory and finite model theory. This year, day two of LCC 2014\n will honor Neil' s 60th birthday with a series of invited\n le ctures by some of the leading researchers working in areas\n that have been influenced by Neil' s work.\n
