SUMMARY:Sixth International Summer School in Cogni
tive Sciences and Semantics: Quantum computing, lo
 gic, cognition, Latvia, Riga
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20140727
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20140729
LOCATION:Latvia, Riga
DESCRIPTION:The summer school will consist of 3 in
tensive days of lectures, seminars, and group disc
ussions. The course addresses a variety of theoret
ical and foundational issues in quantum computing.
It will focus on the logical and physical scope o
f quantum computing. The course is primarily inten
ded for graduate students in Cognitive Science, Co
mputer Science, and Mathematics Topics to be ad
dressed include the physical structure of quantum
information, strategies and issues in experimental
approaches to the physical representation and con
trol of quantum information, mathematical models o
f quantum computing and quantum algorithms, diagra
mmatic patterns in quantum computing, and the rela
tion of quantum computing computational models of
cognition. Applications should be submitted by
May 10th (extended deadline). For more information
 , see http://www.lu.lv/isscss/
