SUMMARY:Highlights of Logic, Games and Automata (H
 ighlights 2014), Paris, France
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20140902
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20140905
LOCATION:Paris, France
DESCRIPTION:There is a distinct community in theor
etical computer science, which studies logic, game
s and automata. Results produced by this community
are dispersed across many conferences, which make
s them difficult to follow, and the community rare
ly gathers. Also, since conferences are mainly use
d for publication, there are few incentives to mak
e good talks. A new conference: Highlights of Logi
c, Games and Automata, aims to provide a solution
to this problem. A visit to this conference giv
es you a wide picture of the latest research in th
e area. Also, a chance to meet everybody in the fi
eld, not just those who happen to publish in one p
articular proceedings volume. We intend to achieve
this popularity by having no proceedings, a short
and cheap event, and building on the tradition of
the similar proceedings-free GAMES workshop. Fo
 r more information, see http://highlights-conferen
ce.org/ The conference has no published proceedi
ngs. Participants are invited to present their bes
t work, be it published elsewhere or yet unpublish
ed. The conference is three days long. The contrib
uted talks are around ten minutes. Submission dead
 line TBA.
