\n Social intelligence is a general term at the intersection\n between different discipline s including philosophy, social\n science - sociology, economics, legal science, etc. - and\n computer science. Broadly speaking, social intelligence is the\n capacity to understan d others and to act rationally and\n emotio nally in relations with others. This is an ability that\n not only human but also artificial agents have, as modelled in\n artificial in telligence and agent-based research in\n pa rticular.\n
\n\n The aim of the European Network for Social Intelligence\n (SINTELNET, 2011-2014) is to help build a s hared perspective\n at the intersection of the above fields, to identify\n challenges and opportunities for cross-disciplinary\n collaboration, to provide guidelines for research and\n policy-making and to kindle partnersh ips among\n participants. The aim of the Eu ropean Conference on Social\n Intelligence is to provide a productive meeting ground for\n researchers from the above fields\n

\n\n The Program me Committee cordially invites all researchers to\ n submit their papers for presentation. Su bmissions should have\n a forward-looking p erspective that contributes to the\n object ives of the symposium. Challenging position papers are\n specially welcome. The technicality of the papers should take\n the mixed audie nce into consideration. Selection for the\n symposium and subsequent publication will be base d on the\n possibility of fruitful discussi ons and the quality of the\n arguments put forward.
