SUMMARY:Workshop "Argumentation, Rationality and D
 ecision", London, U.K.
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20140918
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20140919
LOCATION:London, U.K.
DESCRIPTION:Recent decades have seen an explosion
of research into formal argumentation theory withi
n computer science, drawing on roots in philosophy
and legal theory. The formalisms developed enable
reasoning with incomplete and inconsistent inform
ation to reach decisions that are rational accordi
ng to various criteria. However, this work has lar
gely been conducted in isolation from the establis
hed mathematical decision sciences in microeconomi
c theory. The workshop will bring together phil
osophers, economists, computer scientists and psyc
hologists to discuss areas of common interests and
possible directions for research. For more info
 rmation, see http://www.doc.ic.ac.uk/~rac101/ard/
2-page abstracts should be submitted to the Easy
 Chair site: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/
