\n In the last two decades, we have seen a signi ficant increase\n of interest in agent-base d computing. This field is now set to\n bec ome one of the key technologies in the 21st centur y. The\n aim of this 12th European Conferen ce on Multi-Agent Systems is\n to encourage and support activity in the research and\n development of multi-agent systems, in academic a nd industrial\n efforts. This conference i s primarily intended as a European\n forum at which researchers, and those interested in acti vities\n relating to research in the area o f autonomous agents and\n multi-agent syste ms, could meet, present (potentially\n prel iminary) research results, problems, and issues in an open\n and informal but academic enviro nment.\n
\n\n EUMAS 2014 is a designated event of the European Association\ n of Multi-Agent Systems (EURAMAS). To att ract students as well\n as experienced rese archers, preliminary as well as mature\n wo rk, EUMAS 2014 offers three submission types and f ormal\n proceedings as well as post-proceed ings in form of a journal\n special issue a re planned.\n

\n\n EUMAS 2014 welcome s both original, unpublished papers, as well\n as papers that are under submission or have be en published in\n a relevant conference, co nference or journal. We specially\n invite submissions by students that we think will receive \n valuable feedback from the discussion-or iented focus of the\n conference. Prelimina ry student work is welcome; however it\n ha s to possess sufficient substance for serving as a \n discussion basis and therefore has to pa ss the review cycle in\n the same way as ot her work.
