DESCRIPTION:The focus of this conference is on dif
 ferent approaches to the foundations of mathematic
 s. The interaction between set-theoretic and categ
 ory-theoretic foundations has had significant phil
 osophical impact, and represents a shift in attitu
 des towards the philosophy of mathematics. This co
 nference will bring together leading scholars in t
 hese areas to showcase contemporary philosophical 
 research on different approaches to the foundation
 s of mathematics.    To accomplish this, the confe
 rence has the following general aims and objective
 s. First, to bring to a wider philosophical audien
 ce the different approaches that one can take to t
 he foundations of mathematics. Second, to elucidat
 e the pressing issues of meaning and truth that tu
 rn on these different approaches. And third, to ad
 dress philosophical questions concerning the need 
 for a foundation of mathematics, and whether or no
 t either of these approaches can provide the neces

     We welcome submissions from scholars (in parti
 cular, young scholars, i.e. early career researche
 rs or post-graduate students) on any area of the f
 oundations of mathematics (broadly construed). Par
 ticularly desired are submissions that address the
  role of and compare different foundational approa
