The security requirements of such a computatio n are privacy (meaning that the parties learn the output and nothing more), correctness (meaning tha t the output is correctly distributed), independen ce of inputs, and more. This setting encompasses c omputations as simple as coin-tossing and agreemen t, and as complex as electronic voting, electronic auctions, electronic cash schemes, anonymous tran sactions, and private information retrieval scheme s. Due to its generality, secure computation is a central tool in cryptography. The aim of the sch ool is to start from the basics, and teach the mat erial needed to bring the participants up to date with the latest results in this exciting field. Th e school program includes approximately 27 hours o f lectures and a half-day excursion to Jerusalem. The last day of the school will be a mini-workshop where latest results will be presented. The targ et audience for the school is graduate students an d postdocs in cryptography (we will assume that pa rticipants have taken at least one university-leve l course in cryptography). However, all faculty, u ndergrads and professionals with the necessary bac kground are welcome. The winter school is open to participants from all over the world; all talks wi ll be in English. Participation is free, but regi stration is required. Please register by December 30, 2014.
