SUMMARY:Sixth Workshop on Computational Models of
 Narrative (CMN'15), Atlanta GA, U.S.A.
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20150526
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20150528
LOCATION:Atlanta GA, U.S.A.
DESCRIPTION:Narrative provides a framing structure
  for understanding, communicating, influencing, an
d organizing human experience. Systems for its ana
lysis and production are increasingly found embedd
ed in devices and processes, influencing decision-
making in venues as diverse as politics, economics
, intelligence, and cultural production. The aim o
f this workshop series is to address the technical
implementation of narrative systems, the theoreti
cal bases of these frameworks, and our general und
erstanding of narrative at multiple levels: from t
he psychological and cognitive impact of narrative
s to our ability to model narrative responses comp
utationally. This year's workshop is associated
with the Third Annual Conference on Advances in C
ognitive Systems (ACS), and will have a special fo
cus on the building cognitive systems that are dis
tinguished by a focus on high-level cognition and
decision making, reliance on rich, structured repr
 esentations, a systems-level perspective, use of h
euristics to handle complexity, and incorporation
of insights about human thinking, meaning we espec
ially welcome papers relevant to the cognitive asp
ects of narrative. This workshop . For more in
 formation, see http://narrative.csail.mit.edu/cmn1
5/ This inter-disciplinary workshop will be an a
ppropriate venue for papers addressing fundamental
topics and questions regarding narrative. Regardl
ess of its topic, reported work should provide som
e sort of insight of use to computational modeling
  of narratives. Discussing technological applicati
ons or motivations is not prohibited, but is not r
equired. We accept both finished research and more
tentative exploratory work. Submission deadline i
 s February 2nd, 2015.
