DESCRIPTION:The Munich Center for Mathematical Phi
 losophy (MCMP) is organizing the 2nd Summer School
  on Mathematical Philosophy for Female Students, w
 hich will be held from July 26 to August 1, 2015 i
 n Munich, Germany. The summer school is open to ex
 cellent female students who wish to specialize in 
 mathematical philosophy.   Since women are signifi
 cantly underrepresented in philosophy generally an
 d in formal philosophy in particular, this summer 
 school aims to encourage women to engage with math
 ematical methods and apply them to philosophical p
 roblems. The summer school will provide an infrast
 ructure for developing expertise in some of the ma
 in formal approaches used in mathematical philosop
 hy, including formal epistemology, simulation tech
 niques, the semantics-pragmatics interface. Furthe
 rmore, it offers study in an informal setting, liv
 ely debate, and a chance to strengthen mathematica
 l self-confidence and independence for female stud
 ents. Finally, being located at the MCMP, the summ
 er school will also provide a stimulating and inte
 rdisciplinary environment for meeting like-minded
