SUMMARY:18th International Conference on Principle
s and Practice of Multi-Agent Systems (PRIMA 2015)
 , Bertinoro, Italy
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20151026
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20151030
LOCATION:Bertinoro, Italy
DESCRIPTION:Agent-based Computing addresses the ch
allenges in managing distributed computing systems
and networks through monitoring, communication, c
 onsensus-based decision-making and coordinated act
uation. As a result, intelligent agents and multi-
agent systems have demonstrated the capability to
use intelligence, knowledge representation and rea
soning, and other social metaphors like 'trust', '
game' and 'institution', not only to address real-
world problems in a human-like way but also to tra
nscend human performance. This has had a transform
ative impact in many application domains, particul
arly in e-commerce, and also in planning, logistic
s, manufacturing, robotics, decision support, tran
sportation, entertainment, emergency relief & disa
ster management, and data mining & analytics. Fo
 r more information, see http://prima2015.apice.uni
bo.it/ PRIMA 2015 invites submissions of origina
l, unpublished, theoretical and applied work on an
y such topic, and encourages reports on the develo
pment of prototype and deployed agent systems, and
of experiments that demonstrate novel agent syste
m capabilities. There will be a special track on a
pplications of multi-agent systems. The papers for
this track would report experiences on using agen
ts in an application domain and also discuss the c
hallenges in deploying them. Two types of contribu
tions are solicited: full papers (presenting origi
nal theoretical and/or experimental research) and
 short papers (showcasing works-in-progress). Deadl
ine for abstracts: 17th June 2015.
