SUMMARY:11th International Workshop on Neural-Symb
olic Learning and Reasoning (NeSy 2016), New York
 City, U.S.A.
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20160716
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20160717
LOCATION:New York City, U.S.A.
DESCRIPTION:AI research continues to face huge cha
llenges in developping truly intelligent systems.
 Recent developments in neural-symbolic integration
bring an opportunity to integrate well-founded sy
mbolic artificial intelligence with robust neural
computing machinery to help tackle some of these c
hallenges. The workshops in the NeSy series are in
tended to create an atmosphere of exchange of idea
s, providing a forum for the presentation and disc
ussion of the key topics related to neural-symboli
c integration. Keynote speakers are Leon Bottou (
Facebook AI Research, U.S.A.) and Gary Marcus (New
York University & Geometric Intelligence Inc., U.
S.A.). NeSy'16 is part of HLAI 2016, the Joint Mul
 ti-Conference on Human-Level Artificial Intelligen
ce 2016. For more information, see http://www.ne
 ural-symbolic.org/NeSy16/ or contact TarekRichard.
Besold at unibz.it. Researchers and practitioners
are invited to submit original papers that have n
ot been submitted for review or published elsewher
 e. Deadline for paper submission: May 25, 2016. Ad
ditionally, for the first time presentations based
on extended abstracts will be considered. These s
hall allow to report on latest results which had n
ot been available at the time of paper submission,
and have a deadline for submission of June 20, 20
 16.
