SUMMARY:5th Workshop "What can FCA do for AI?" (FC
A4AI 2016), Den Haag, The Netherlands
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20160830
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20160830
LOCATION:Den Haag, The Netherlands
DESCRIPTION:Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) is a mat
hematically well-founded theory aimed at data anal
ysis and classification. FCA allows one to build a
concept lattice and a system of dependencies (imp
lications) which can be used for many AI needs, e.
 g. knowledge processing involving learning, knowle
dge discovery, knowledge representation and reason
ing, ontology engineering, and as well as informat
ion retrieval and text processing. Thus, there exi
st many ``natural links'' between FCA and AI. Ac
cordingly, in this workshop, we will be interested
in two main issues: - How can FCA support AI act
ivities such as knowledge processing, learning, na
tural language processing and information retrieva
 l. - How can FCA be extended in order to help AI
researchers to solve new and complex problems in t
heir domain. For more information, see http://ww
 w.fca4ai.hse.ru/2016 The Programme Committee cor
dially invites all researchers to submit their pap
ers for presentation. Submission deadline: June 5,
  2016.
