SUMMARY:Third Workshop on Logic, Reasoning, and R
ationality (LRR 2016): Agency & Causation, Gent, B
 elgium
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20161027
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20161028
LOCATION:Gent, Belgium
DESCRIPTION:The aim of this workshop is to further
stimulate the synergy between, on the one hand, o
ngoing work that concerns the logic and philosophy
of human (intentional) agency, and on the other,
conceptual and formal work on causation and causal
reasoning. Although this means the workshop cover
s a very broad range of possible topics, we partic
ularly welcome talks in which both (intentional) a
gency and causation, and their logical and concept
ual interrelations, get a fair share. Keynote sp
eakers: Jan Broersen (University of Utrecht, Nethe
rlands), Agnes Moors (Catholic University of Leuve
n, Belgium), Elisabeth Pacherie (Institut Jean Nic
od, France) For more information, see http://www
.lrr.ugent.be/ac/ Authors are invited to submit a
n original, previously unpublished abstract of 300
to 500 words, on any of the workshop topics. Abst
ract submission deadline: Friday 17th June 2016.
