e, economics, and philosophy, Bamberg, Germany
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20161021
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20161022
LOCATION:Bamberg, Germany
DESCRIPTION:Agent-based models (ABM) are a recent
tool in philosophy and the social sciences. To dat
e, ABMs have been applied to a wide variety of top
ics ranging from simulating ecological systems to
highly idealized models of opinion dynamics or eme
rging social norms. This workshop aims to bring to
gether different approaches to ABM in philosophy a
nd the social sciences. The objective is to repres
ent the wide spectrum of applications of ABM and e
ncourage exchange between various approaches. A fu
rther objective is to foster discussion about the
nature of ABMs and the opportunities and potential
pitfalls of their use in these disciplines.     T
he Programme Committee cordially invites all resea
