DESCRIPTION:RuleML+RR 2017 is the leading internat
 ional joint conference in the field of rule-based 
 reasoning, and focuses on theoretical advances, no
 vel technologies, as well as innovative applicatio
 ns concerning knowledge representation and reasoni
 ng with rules. Stemming from the synergy between t
 he well-known premier RuleML and RR  events, one o
 f the main goals of this conference is to build br
 idges between academia and industry.  RuleML+RR 20
 17 aims to bring together rigorous researchers and
  inventive practitioners, interested in the founda
 tions and applications of rules and reasoning in a
 cademia, industry, engineering, business, finance,
  healthcare and other application areas. It will p
 rovide a forum for stimulating cooperation and cro
 ss-fertilization between the many different commun
 ities focused on the research, development and app
 lications of rule-based systems.  In addition, Rul
 eML+RR 2017 will host an Industry Track, a Doctora
 l Consortium, the DecisionCAMP, the 11th Internati
 onal Rule Challenge, and the 13th Reasoning Web Su
 mmer School. RuleML+RR 2017 will be collocated wit
 h the 32nd British International Conference on Dat
 abases (BICOD 2017).  We invite PhD students at an
  early or intermediate stage of their PhD studies 
 as well as exceptional Master's students who are i
 nterested in pursuing a PhD to submit papers to th
 e Doctoral Consortium describing their research on
  any of the topics of interest of RuleML+RR 2017.
